Chiang Mai University Strengthens AI and Quantum Research Capacity Through IBM and NUS Partnerships
Chiang Mai University (CMU) has entered into a series of strategic agreements with IBM and the National University of Singapore (NUS) to expand its research and development capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing. The agreements, formalised in August 2025, provide CMU with access to advanced computing infrastructure, international research collaboration, and technical expertise aligned with Thailand’s digital and innovation priorities. Under these agreements, Chiang Mai University will participate in the IBM–NUS Research and Innovation Centre, focusing on joint research in AI technologies and the development of high-performance computing infrastructure.
