Ms. Jetsumon Sumayteepradit – ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2027 from Singapore

Ms. Jetsumon Sumayteepradit, Deputy Provincial Education Officer, Samut Prakan Provincial Education Office, Ministry of Education, Thailand, will be following developments from the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2027 in Singapore after attending the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026 in Cebu, Philippines.

The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2027 will take place in Singapore from 18–22 January 2027, bringing together tourism ministers, senior government officials, national tourism organisations, international buyers, travel industry professionals and international media from across Southeast Asia and around the world. Organised under the theme “Transforming Tourism, Empowering Tomorrow,” the forum will reinforce ASEAN’s position as one of the world’s most diverse and fastest-growing tourism regions. As ASEAN’s premier annual tourism event, ATF provides an important platform for governments and the private sector to strengthen regional cooperation, exchange knowledge and promote Southeast Asia as a single, multi-country destination to the global travel industry.

TRAVEX: The Commercial Heart of ATF

The centrepiece of the week is TRAVEX (Travel Exchange), ASEAN’s longest-running appointment-based business-to-business travel exhibition. Taking place from 20–22 January 2027, TRAVEX enables international buyers and accredited media to meet exhibitors from all ten ASEAN Member States through pre-scheduled business appointments. Participants include: National Tourism Organisations, Hotels and resorts, Airlines, Tour operators, Destination Management Companies, Convention and Visitors Bureaux, Cruise operators, International hosted buyers and travel media. The appointment-based meeting system allows exhibitors and buyers to maximise productivity while creating new tourism partnerships and business opportunities across Southeast Asia.

Supporting Regional Tourism Development

In addition to the exhibition, ATF 2027 will feature ASEAN Tourism Ministers’ Meetings, National Tourism Organisation meetings, tourism policy discussions, destination presentations, media briefings, networking receptions, educational seminars and industry forums. These programmes support collaboration between governments and the tourism industry while helping shape future tourism policy across ASEAN. The forum also promotes innovation, sustainability, resilience and inclusive growth, reflecting the 2027 theme, “Transforming Tourism, Empowering Tomorrow.”
