Marine and Energy Conservation

Educators Trained in Marine and Energy Conservation Through “Youth & The Sea” Programme Samut Prakan Provincial Education Office leads an initiative in partnership with the Energy Office.

The Samut Prakan Provincial Education Office, together with the Provincial Energy Office, launched the “Youth & The Sea: Energy and Coastal Environment Learning and Awareness Programme.” The program aims to promote marine conservation and energy awareness in schools across the province.

As part of the project, teachers joined a special training course titled “Knowledge of Marine and Energy Conservation for School-Based Learning.” The event was held at Rajaprachasamasai Secondary School, Ratchadaphisek, under the Royal Patronage.

To begin the event, Mrs. Narinnarat Seekaewnamsai, Provincial Education Officer, presided over the opening ceremony on behalf of Governor Supamit Chinsri. Ms. Jetsumon Sumayteepradit, Deputy Provincial Education Officer, gave a welcome address. She emphasized how important it is to bring environmental education into classrooms.

The training was organized by the Supervision, Monitoring, and Evaluation Group. Mrs. Khemika Ariyathi, who directs the group, led the project. She received support from Mr. Urupong Kodi, Senior Education Supervisor, and the wider education team.

As a result, the program helps teachers build practical knowledge. More importantly, it empowers them to inspire students to care for the environment. Additionally, the initiative encourages schools to support sustainable practices and coastal preservation.

In conclusion, this hands-on training supports the province’s broader goal of preparing youth for a more sustainable future. It also reflects the ongoing commitment of Samut Prakan’s education leaders to build environmentally aware communities through education.
